As we celebrate National Volunteersā Week (June 2ā8, 2025), we want to recognise the people who keep the wheels turning at Skelmersdale Boundary Harriersāour amazing volunteers.
From run leaders and committee members to marshals and course checkers, our club thrives thanks to those who step forward to help.
šāāļø A Club Powered by Volunteers
Volunteering is in our DNA. Just look at what our members have helped with:
An SBH volunteer has been at every single Tawd Valley parkrun since it started.
We regularly support Ormskirk parkrun, both running and volunteering.
SBH volunteers help make local events like cross country fixtures, the Parbold Hill Race, and the Mawdesley 10K possible.
Many of us also give our time to races and running events throughout the region.
šš¤š Want to Run and Volunteer at Parkrun?
You donāt have to give up your run to contribute! Many parkrun volunteer roles let you do both:
Tail Walker ā walk the course and get a time while making sure no one finishes last.
Pacer ā help others hit their goal while completing your own run.
Pre-event Setup & Post-event Close Down ā volunteer before or after you run.
First Timers Welcome, or Run Report Writer ā great ways to contribute off the course.
