Captain Jemma comes up trumps with the Ladies Cross country Social

Captain’s Report – Ladies Social Recce 🩷

On Sunday, a sea of amber and black swept across Beacon Golf Course for our very first ladies' social recce ahead of the upcoming cross country season.

Whether curious to see what all the fuss is about or simply wanting a friendly catch-up, it was brilliant to see so many of you there!

The sun was shining as we covered 4.5 miles of scenic trails—fields, footpaths, and a few spicy hills thrown in for good measure! Spirits were high as we ran, chatted, and laughed our way round. Of course, we couldn't help but joke that Andy would be disappointed, there wasn’t a drop of mud in sight!

What stood out most was the sense of camaraderie. It was an absolute joy to watch everyone support one another, whether powering up a hill or pausing for a breather. There was a real sense of togetherness and friendship across the whole group.

Post-run, we headed to the café to refuel with coffee, cake, and even a few ice creams to cool down. I handed out a small token of appreciation to thank the ladies for being part of such a special club.

Our next social recce will take place on Sunday 13th July - same time, same place. I’d love for you to join us!
