Beacon Cross Country
Sunday 16th November 10am

Beacon Cross County Race
Skelmersdale Boundary Harriers hosts the Beacon Cross Country race every year as part of the Northwest Cross Country League (Sunday)
As part of the ethos of a good cross country the course provides a multitude of obstacles and terrain including steep hills, mud, steps, bridges and a nice hill finish.
The race starts at 10:00am and with a new course introduced last year it promises to give all runners a true Cross-country experience of mud, hills, mud and hills!!

Location & Parking
Skelmersdale Boundary Harriers are looking forward to welcoming you to Beacon Country Park for the second Sunday League fixture of the season.
Sunday November 16th at 10am.
Nearest postcode WN8 7RU.

Approaching from UpHolland there are three carparks within 5-10 min walk from the start. Harts Lane, Carr Lane and Elmers Green Lane. At the latter is the Coppice Cafe which opens at 10am.

Please park sensibly and with consideration avoiding block entrances and driveways, it is very important that we maintain access for the Countryside Ranger Service and emergency vehicles.

This year we return to the original country park but with a new course with a mixture of grassland, woodland and some hard paths. Please note this course is NOT suitable for spikes and we strongly recommend trail/fell shoes with a good tread.

The course is two laps and roughly 4.6 miles in total.
