The good form shown by the Skelmersdale women was carried forward to the final race of the NW Sunday Cross Country League, where along with their sister club the Parbold Pink Panthers they won the final round and secured second place in the league and a valued piece of silverware. This was a fine placing given the quality of competition from much larger clubs based in and around Merseyside. The mens team also had a good final race placing eighth their best result for a number of years.
