Service Description

"Speed workouts train you how to output more effort, maintain a higher cadence, and mentally cope with some physical discomfort while running. If you practice this skill once or twice per week consistently, you won't just become faster -you will run faster with less effort." Each Monday Dan takes runners for a repetition based session designed to help your body understand the requirements to go faster, be more efficient and generally be fitter. Each includes warm up drills, 30minutes of speed work and post effort stretching. These sessions are for all abilities/experience, as you are allowed to work to your own intensity and will benefit any race distance that you may be training for, from 5k through to Ultra marathon distances. Sessions run on a 6 Week rotation: 100m, 200m, 300m, 400m, 600m & 1k May: 2nd (400), 9th (600), 16th (1k), 23rd (100) & 30th (200) Whilst provided primarily for Skelmersdale Boundary Harrier members, runners of all backgrounds are welcome.
