A whopping 10 weeks since fixture one at Beacon Park, Sunday racing returned to the calendar for a frosty trip to Runcorn, synonimous for its slope.
Kev and Maria lead the team out across two laps of the rugged and heavy parkland into the slope, that whilst soft under cold toes was in great condition for those in spikes or deep lugged trail shoes.
In the mens race, Kevin Walker lead the team home once more taking 46th, followed by Micheal Aisbitt who sprint finished to 102nd, Paul Cheetham in 137th, Nick Paul 173rd just holding off the big finish from Graham Dowling in 174th and Andy Dalton 228th a finish needed to earn SBH mens a team placing of 17th.
In the ladies race, Maria was once again edged out by the dominant youthful Dragons squad to finish a very strong 5th place, Rebecca Wadeson returned to the fore after a quiet winter to land an assured 14th, supported by Tanya Foley 29th, Nikki Spafford in 31st, Anna Williams in 43rd, Janet Walker in 100th and debutant Karolina Faithful in 106th to take a Ladies team bronze, second in the league after two races.
