Beacon Cross County Race
Skelmersdale Boundary Harriers hosts the Beacon Cross Country race every year as part of the Northwest Cross Country League (Sunday) and the Liverpool & District League (Saturday).
As part of the ethos of a good cross country the course provides a multitude of obstacles and terrain including steep hills, mud, steps, bridges and a nice hill finish.
The race starts at 10:00am from the top field and consists of two large loops of the Beacon Country Park covering a distance of 4.92miles with an elevation of 804ft. Cross Country Spikes are recommended but fell shoes or trail shoes will also get you around.
